Nebraska to Arizona

Go Big Red. Arbor Day. Runza. Unicameral. Farming. Community. Good neighbors. All these describe Nebraska the Good Life, and most describe Nebraska’s neighbor to the East, Iowa.

Nebraska always will be a home for me, but I had no clue how many Nebraskans and Iowans would make Arizona a home as well. On average each month I see 25 to 40 Nebraska home purchases alone in the Phoenix metro area. And these are only the ones who claim a second home in Arizona. Part of my real estate passion is working with fellow Nebraskans, Iowans and Midwest buyers as they search for their perfect desert Southwest casa. And I am delighted how many are enthusiastic about working with a Nebraska native who has shared the same experiences they are.

The search for a new home or sale of an existing one requires someone who knows the metro area, our new home builders, and where to find the perfect place to nest based on a client’s needs, work or favorite entertainment venues. As a fellow Nebraskan, I understand the importance of the Midwest work ethic and exceeding expectations. I also understand what it is like to leave the Good Life for the Valley of the Sun.

I was raised in Fremont, Nebraska, and also spent five years in Omaha. In 1997, I made a quick decision to relocate to Phoenix. I had three weeks to do so. Thank goodness I had a housing contact. Looking back, it was a giant, and perhaps blind, leap of faith. What was to be a three year stop has turned into a two decade life experience. And it’s one I want to share with my fellow Nebraskans and Iowans.

I have been in the metro Phoenix area for all the variations of the market. I have learned valuable skills and know our housing industry valley wide. Whether you live in Arizona and need to sell or buy a home, or are a Midwesterner soon to be transplanted in the beautiful Sonoran Desert, I would like the opportunity to be your Arizona agent. Sharing our common bond is always a treat.
